East Central Development Partnership
The City of Mora Economic Development Authority is a member of the East Central Development Partnership (ECDP).
The ECDP is an economic development consortium dedicated to regional cooperation and marketing the assets of East Central Minnesota that collaborate to strengthen the regional economy by:
- Providing a regional approach to workforce development, business attraction, retention, and expansion.
- Acting as a conduit for members and the region to access resources and educational opportunities.
Since 2001, the East Central Development Partnership has provided a forum for collaborative economic development in the five-county region of Kanabec, Pine, Isanti, Chisago and Mille Lacs counties. Members of the ECDP include cities, counties, tribal entities, higher education partners, and businesses. The group is led by an eight-member Executive Committee and contracts with two consultants to provide organizational support. The group meets every other month to bring its members together on topics of regional interest. The group also hosts a variety of summits each year that are open to the broader public and highlight specific topics and challenges. It creates a foundation for collaborative economic development that allows our communities to share resources. ECDP members believe that when one member succeeds, we all succeed.
