Information about current openings on various boards and commissions, including an application form and job description, can be found here.

Appointments are made at the first city council meeting in January each year or as vacancies occur. 

All persons interested in serving on a board or commission may come to Mora City Hall, 101 Lake Street S., Mora, for an application or for additional information if needed, or they may print an application via the link below.

CITY OF MORA BOARD OPENINGS

In January of each year, the city council makes appointments to various boards and commissions. Some of these bodies are responsible for carrying out vital functions of the city independently from the city council, others advise the city council in specific areas of government services.

The following is a list of appointments to be made for 2023:

AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD
2 seats, three-year term

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
2 seats, six-year term

HOUSING REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
1 seat, five-year term

PLANNING COMMISSION
2 seat, three-year term
1 seat, term expires 12/31/2024

PARK BOARD
2 seats, three-year term

PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION
1 seat, three-year term.

Applications should be submitted as soon as possible. Appointments will be made January 3, 2023. If there are any vacancies after the January 3 meeting, they will be posted on the city’s web page.
