The County Seat of Kanabec County, Mora is located 72 miles north of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Mora was incorporated as a village on May
19, 1882 and designated a city by state statute in 1973. The 2010 census showed a population of 3,571 in 1,616 households. Our city encompasses over four square miles and includes a municipal liquor store, aquatic center and airport. There are many businesses and a county hospital lining Highways
65 and 23, but don’t forget to take some time to visit our downtown area which has a theater, restaurants, shops and many service-oriented businesses.
