Signs

The City Code regulates the number, location, size, type, illumination, and other physical characteristics of signs within the City in order to promote public health, safety and welfare of the community. The regulation of signs helps to maintain and enhance the aesthetic environment of the City by preventing visual clutter, while providing for effective means of communication.

The installation of most signs - including sign replacements - requires the issuance of a sign permit, and sign regulations vary by zoning district. To learn more about the City's sign regulations, view City Code sections 150.210 - 150.227. Contact Caleb Christenson at 320-225-4808 to discuss sign regulations and permitting.
