The City of Mora is accepting applications for summer employment. Positions available are with the Mora Aquatic Center and with the Public Works and Utilities Departments. The following summer positions are available:
Summer Maintenance Worker – To maintain municipal buildings and grounds by performing routine maintenance duties in the assigned department. High school diploma or GED, must be 18 years of age or older. Valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license required. Previous maintenance or groundskeeping experience preferred.
Lifeguard –Must be at least 16 years of age and possess a current Red Cross Lifeguarding Certificate and CPR Certificate.
Water Safety Instructor - Must be at least 14 years of age and possess a MAC Water Safety Instructor Certificate. Must be highly dependable and available to teach all swim lessons during the assigned course(s).
Pool Aid - Must be at least 14 years of age. Current MAC Water Safety Instructor Certificate, standard First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate preferred, but not required.
Front Desk/Concession Stand Worker - Must be at least 14 years of age. Current MAC Water Safety Instructor Certificate, standard First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate preferred, but not required.
MAC Maintenance - Age 18 or older is preferred for assignment flexibility. Current Red Cross standard First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate preferred, but not required.
Shift Supervisor - Must be at least 19 years of age and possess a Red Cross Lifeguarding Certificate, Red Cross or MAC Water Safety Instructor Certificate and CPR Certificate.
Summer employees generally need to be available from the beginning of June to the end of August. Most positions are part-time and the hours vary based on employer needs.
